Jessica has a presentable voice, in cover songs,which I have noticed is the only thing that has her albums selling like crazy. Jess if you want to do covers,try out for American Idol,like Kelly Clarkson did and actually wrote her own music after her first album. I'm not much of a pop singers admirer but my two younger sisters love pop music and singers like Britney and Christina. But this woman is a disgrace I remember I laugh my butt out when I first saw the video for irresistible, I mean was she trying to dance. Thank god she gave up on that. She's not the greatest singer (which is not required for a pop star) but the fact that she has no brain at all, just makes me want to grab her and shake her. The show she made about her marriage portrayed her as a stupid blond spoiled girl. I think her husband was a saint for putting up with her, but I guess he wasn't in it for her wits. I'm just glad that he got to keep half her money after the divorce, she deserves that.
Anyway is good to get this out of my chest because it makes me sick how "famous" she is getting, I guess there's a lot of dumb people out there.

"hate" is a pretty strong word. I will say I think the girl is "over-rated". When Britney, Christina, and Jessica came out in 1999-2000 into the scene people were saying what a great role mode Jessica was compared to Christina and what a power singer she is compared to Britney and she's just as good as Christina. Hmm. Do these people really listen to her music??? There is a reason why umm the other two got lots of critical recognition, not just in super sales, but also major award nominations e.g. the Grammys. Jessica just got one Grammy (well actually her producers) for production of (oh my god) that remake of "These Boots are Made for Walking" (listen to the original from Nancy Sinatra and it will have you cringing as much as comparing Timberlake to Julie London's rendition of "Cry Me a River." Just AWFUL. When Jessica sings she used that "high" pitched voice (sorta whispery) and puts it on loud and I can't honestly see how most of her music would be considered good in that respect. She is most DEFINITELY NOT on par with Christina. Christina belongs up there with Mariah, Whitney, and Celine--come on let's get real. There was a reason why Mariah refused to do a duet with Christina. Britney Spears first album was respectable and at the young age of 15 when she sang it she did indeed have the promise of Whitney as one music critic said. Promise she had until umm Baby became the hitmaker then albums after that her producers wanted her "just" to sing like she did in Baby. Which is too bad because the girl's first album had promise. At least with the last album she threw out the window what the producers wanted. Good for her she wants to take it easy now and sample the real life--just enjoying her kid and refusing to be in the public eye or draw attention by dressing down. Yes Britney just wants to left alone and treated like the rest of us. Well I think she's earned it. She's worked her tail off just trying to please the public and the record companies and it's about time she gets to do what she has always really wanted to do.

The absolute worst part of Jessica is that really awful video she did for the Dukes of Hazzard. Those of us who are um adult "know" what that foam is suppose to simulate. That is just so disgusting and gross there is NO way I'll let any of my kids or younger siblings have Jessica as a role model. Not after that. I think her being more "sexy" had her become attractive to all the wrong guys--guys who just want her for sex and not committment. According to a band member of Adam Levine's Jessica was crazy for Adam who had flirted with her (they deny sleeping together which may very well be true). Now she is just finding out that her hubby Nick was just the exact opposite (more committment oriented and truly caring), tho she's moving forward with the divorce cause she no longer sees Nick as attractive. When she married Nick he was the more famous one and the bigger money maker. Which is why Jess's dad did NOT want a prenup. Now that SHE was the one who ended up making more money during the marriage somehow it's a double standard that she does NOT want Nick to have anything that he is legally entitled to, however if it were the other way around, we have no doubts that Nick who yes still loves her (for that he is stupid), would happily give her, her legal share. After all we have to make suer Jessica can still go on her huge shopping binges cause that is one of her loves of her life. Perhaps the girl doesn't deserve any others except that which her family gives her--assuming that is at least half real. Perhaps this is all good for Nick. Now he can see Jessica for what she really is: a gold digger and someone who married him for the fame and connections he could help her attain and yes he helped prompt her up in the music world and this is how she pays him back of course --sounds familiar huh--you know like that snake Timberlake--Britney for music (she gave him her manager) and now Cameron for movies. There is a reason that the team Lachey shirts are outselling the team Simpson shirts 40 to 1.

I have to admit that I was a huge Jessica Simpson fan. I remember the day her first song came out. I called Harmony House and they had no idea who she was. I have followed her career since. But once I found out that she was going to do a reality tv show with Nick. I knew that she would turn out like the rest of the hollywood celebrates. She seemed so friendly and down to earth. One of those people that you dont think that being a "celebraty" will effect. Someone that you hope will stay true to themselves. She was great when she first came out but she has changed. She was also one of the few singers that I allowed my daughter to listen to because I thought she would be a good role model, but now I think she is a disgrace. Cheating on her husband and acting the way she does. She is just like the rest of them. She got to big and now she thinks she is all that. I am extremely disappointed with her and for her fans.

When she first came out she seemed really down to earth and I really liked that about her, but after she started on her show, something about her got under my skin and now I can't stand her. She seems to think that she is better than everyone else and I hate that. I wish she could move along and give up her 15 min of fame.
