I typed Eminem vs Tupac into Google and found a bunch of people fighting over who is the best rapper and having racist feuds at one another. You guys are losers, Tupac would be ashamed of you guys fighting about who got shot the most times and whether that makes them better or not. Half of your comments are completely irrelevant to the blog for gods sakes. Tupac was an amazing lyricist and a revolutionary rapper and we have to face it, so is Eminem. Some of you are saying Eminem is a whiner and can't rap or he is a wannabe but he has sold more than 70 million albums worldwide making him, if not the highest selling rapper ever, the second highest. Eminem has been what you guys are saying he isn't, you are sounding like a bunch of fools and half of you are completely illiterate. Eminem is an amazing lyricist and if you go onto websites you will find Eminem in most top ten hip hop lyricists lists along with Tupac. I think they are even.

Race is not an issue here and its just stupid liking someone because of their colour. Black people will argue that Pac had a tougher life in the ghetto but we are supposed to be arguing who is the better rapper regardless of what difficulties they had to overcome. The same goes for Eminem. People argue it was harder for him to win over "the people" because he was white. But people shouldn't say he is better for this reason.

For me Tupac is a more inspirational rapper. He is definately one of the best rappers ever. He raps from the heart and even some of his smaller tracks are well worth listening to. However I don't think the fact that he is dead should make people blow him out of proportion and say there were no other good rappers. However tragic and sad it is, Pac is unfortunately gone.

Eminem is also up there with the best. He has done everything - the joky, light-hearted stuuf like Just Lose It and then the brilliant serious stuff such as Lose Yourself and The Way I Am. In my mind, Em has the best lyrics ever. In his serious songs every line is related to the topic he is rapping about. He also doesn't rap about bitches and ho's like some and he has proven in songs such as Mosh and Stan that his tunes have a meaning to them.

So for me Eminem's lyrics are better but Tupac is more inspirational. Whou would win a freestyle battle? Unfortunately we'll never know.

For the record, I like Pac and Em a lot. They're different...very different. And they have both done tons to help out hip hop. Pac inspires thousands and Em's done a lot to break down color barriers in hip hop.

I also think Tupac although very good is just over rated due to is unfortunate death. In my opinion Eminem is probably not a better rapper but a better lyricist and has made better songs. They both stand out as niether of them have conformed to the usual hip hop style. I dont see what race has to do with anything here. Tupac is a different type of rapper, and was in a different era. The strange thing about him is that his thoughts, ideas and songs could be put to use into todays times even though they were recorded more then a decade ago. Tupac has touched millions of people with what he did on the microphone, in the public eye and even on the big screen. He was obviously set up by the police on several accounts due to his close relation with the black panthers. However, what pisses me off when i read all of these comments is that the racism involved. Im white ive been listening to tupac since the second grade, i listen to tones of music from the rolling stones to beethoven to mozart to elvis. When you start saying who's better, and not even compare what they did but say it because of their colour, this is where i strongly disagree.
