Festival Frolicals
After having a chat with a very nice bunch of people (And Corinna's clone) I went off to see The Prodigy. They made me realise that a) I've grown up since 1996 and b) They haven't.
I used to be such a huge fan of their electro rock racket but, due to their lack of output and poor, uninspired albums, I gave up on KERRAZZY Keith and his merry men. I went to see the end of the Scissor Sisters. They were jazzy.

The Sudoku Cult
It’s a game with fairly simple rules but requires a lot of thinking in order to complete the game so only the brainier ppl with guts, like me (just joking), can play it. That’s why you don’t see ppl like Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera or Paris Hilton (Ok, I know I’m criticizing on her a lot) playing it cuz they are dumb blonde. Imagine if they play it, I doubt they will ever solve any of the puzzles. This game initially became popular in Japan during the 80’s, now has become so widely popular that a lot of people is clamoring to get at the puzzle. This game can be viciously addictive, I think.

Beyonce Siting
Okay, I didn’t really have lunch WITH her, but she was sitting at a table close-by and was easily viewable from our table. Needless to say, Beyonce was absolutely smoking hot! She actually looked better in person than any picture or video I’ve ever seen of her. Just a natural beauty. Good thing we didn’t notice her sitting there until half-way through our lunch, because we all would have been gawking the whole time (a Bad Thing).

A7X US Tour
“We’re at the point now where we’ve come into our own,” vocalist M. Shadows says of the ambitious City Of Evil, an 11-song collection that gives a middle finger to the idea of categorization, bridging the sonic guitar assault of Iron Maiden with the frenetic pace of Bad Religion and the musicianship of Dream Theater. “In Southern California you’re really brought up in the whole punk world. At the same time, we were growing up listening to Pantera, Megadeath, Metallica and Slayer records,” Shadows recalls. “So then you think, ‘I want to play in that kind of band, but I want to play in this kind of band.’ Then you pass that point and all of a sudden you’re just writing music and it comes out naturally. But that’s what happens cause of all the different influences we have. And we’re definitely not afraid to put anything in our songs if we think it calls for it.”

Why is it that to be filthy stinking rich, being dumb has to also come with the territory? I have one person on my mind right now, and thats Jessica Simpson. (Ugh!, loud annoying music to follow that link)

Karaoke
I’m constantly shocked at the level of selection they have for music, they have absolutely brand new music. They had the entire American Idiot CD (by Green Day
) on there already as well as odd American bands like Hoobastank or Trapt. They even had the Darkness (I believe in a thing called love). Very funny. My shock didn’t end there however, they also had Incubus
. Now if you know me, you know I LOVE incubus and I’ve been trying to find a karaoke CD with their music on it for a while to no avail. Of course in japan probably every karaoke place in the country has it.

Backwards And Satanic
A very interesting thing I found today was songs when flipped backwords, gives you secret or “Satanic” messages. Here’s a very helpful site for it: Stairway to Heavens Backwards I never knew the Pokemon rap was satanic, and Britney Spears was slutty at the time of her first single, and the same for Eminem.

CD Review: Ray Lamontagne
Read the whole thing.Ray LaMontagne didn’t come to the idea of devoting his life to music at a young age like many do. He didn’t have an awakening when listening to Nirvana’s Nevermind for the first time, or when his father gave him a pair of drumsticks at age 3. In fact, LaMontagne’s decision to become a musician happened almost by accident once he was in adulthood, when he heard Stephen Stills’ “Tree Top Flyer” while working at a shoe factory. If he hadn’t had that chance encounter with Mr. Stills, perhaps he’d still be gluing soles to leather today.

DJ Proof On Eminem
Addressing recent reports that Eminem was planning to retire from making solo albums and touring, Proof says “I keep on telling people, Em will be 50 or 60 years old, and will be about to be an old man still playing with MCs,” he says. “I don’t think he’ll ever quit. He might even drop another solo album. I can’t see him not rapping — he’s too crazy.”
