I’ve been thinking, I have such an awsome taste in music that it was really hard to catagorize which ones were better than the others. First off, most of my music was from the 60’s and 70’s so it’s really hard for people to understand or even know what I’m talking aboot. Plus I only decided to include bands that are more rock so I didn’t add Steely Dan or the Beatles to the mix. Well I’m here to say that these are my top ten bands that I think are above the rest. I tried to go by more than how much I like them and more towards how influential they are and by how creative they are. Here are my top ten.

Pink Panther~ I thought it was cute...i probably wouldn't see it again but it was very funny and it had Beyonce in it so naturally it was entertaining. I saw it with Stuart and an entourage of friends so naturally, it was pretty awesome for me. All in all, it was very cute but if you are looking for something with even just an ounce of intellectual depth steer clear of this one! (maybe you would like new world...there are plenty of scenes where nothing is going on for you th ponder hte mysteries of the earth).

Drew’s career is definitely in an upswing now. Rumor is, MTV is trying to set him up with Ashlee Simpson, have them get married, live in a house in Calabasas and tape the whole thing. Insider’s are telling me that Drew is all about the concept but Ashlee is a little bit worried that the show might ruin her career……that was a joke. Get it?

my ears. my poor bloody abused ears. charlotte church's "new" songs are absolutely horrendous. it's like listening to hilary duff and ashley simpson combined. and i'm aware that this "review" is several months late.

Kurt Cobain would have been 39 on Monday, February 20. I am a little old for the Nirvana scene, but I was captivated by the song "Smells Like Teen Spirit.

This Chicago Tribune piece, bitchily labeling Britney Spears as Mother of the Year due to the sensationally documented Sean-on-lap incident is, for us, a bridge too far.

I have been working out which music I’m going to take. Currently it’s: Jack Johnson (On and On), The Beatles (Sgt Pepper), Cat Empire, John Lennon, Joni Mitchell (Blue), Franz Ferdinand, Missy Higgins, Good Charlotte (cringe), Death Cab For Cutie and Postal Service combination, The Whitlams, Bernard Fanning (plus other Aussie stuff), The Libertines and four mix cds. Yes, I am a music nerd. If only my computer would stop being horrible I could finish burning everything. Amusingly my father added Bing Crosby to my list of cds to burn.

The first two videos are really funny and The Big Finale presents an amazing juggling act accompanied musically by Golden Slumbers (Once there was a way to get back homeward) from my favorite Beatles album, Abbey Road. This ain't bootylicious! I hope that if he lays one mean finger on Beyonce, she'll knock him out with her ass of steel.

In the mean time, I’m listening to Green Day right now, and way too drunk to start another incoherent rant…

American Edit is a mash-up of the whole of Green Day’s American Idiot, mixing in tracks by Oasis, Ashanti, Roxy Music, U2, Bryan Adams … plus Bushisms and miscellaneous samples. It was the subject of a Cease and Desist order from Warner Records: it’s non-profit and fairly easy to find.

I’m Porcelina. Currently in college whiling away my uneventful life doing silly little things us teenagers do. Um, if what the television portrays of us is true, then we’re doing stuff like fiddling about with Hotlink, watching MTV 24/7, listening to Too Phatand dressed as if our parents were multi-millionaires. Or attending ‘Black Metal’ gigs and sacrificing goats to a poster of Amy Lee from Evanescence. But I digress.

Happy New Year from the Concert in the Gardens, Princes Street, Edinburgh. It was a bit chilly watching Aberfeldy, Blondie and the Scissor Sisters, but a wee dram kept the cold away.
